[PATCH net] virtio_net: fix truesize for mergeable buffers
Seth Forshee noticed a performance degradation with some workloads.
This turns out to be due to packet drops. Euan Kemp noticed that this
is because we drop all packets where length exceeds the truesize, but
for some packets we add in extra memory without updating the truesize.

Getting host IP address?

I''m getting my node definitions (& thus classes) from LDAP. I know that
I could define a separate class for each node, but I''m not particularly
keen to do that.

count sequence of integers
Hi,
I would like to be able to count a sequence of numbers. For example, given a
vector of the following integers
(1,1,1,2,2,2,2,3,3,3,3,3,3,1,1,1,1, 3,3)
the function would return
(3, 4, 6, 4,2)
Does anyone have any cool ideas to solve this?
Any help appreciated.

Extremely custom mailbox locations
I'm in the position where I'd like to offer IMAP access
to a collection of email accounts which are stored in
a very odd manner.
Files are stored as:
/blah/$dd-$mm-$yy/$domain/1234/1234
For example:
/reject/12-3-2009/cvsrepository.org/35199/35199639
There is a single file for each mail, which I guess technically
probably counts as an mbox folder, but only just.

S/R programming books
Hi,
I have been using R for a few months now and I am confident that the
language has everything I will need to complete my PhD. I can create
functions, script files and packages, but I would like to write my
programs more efficiently (maybe using OO). Can anyone recommend a good
book on the "art" of good R programming?

Big problems with 3.0.24-6etch6 Debian packages
...s caused Windows to open up a new temporary profile, making everyone
lose their settings. PANIC!!
I now downgraded back to all 3.0.24-6etch4 packages, and things seem to
be working fine again.
What's happening with Samba packages for Debian Etch?
I saw a security announce yesterday by Steve Kemp, but it's a bit
confusing, for Etch it lists some 6etch6 packages and some 6etch7 others.
Are the current packages broken?
And... is there anyone officially working on more up-to-date Samba
packages for Debian Etch? Or will we have to live with 3.0.24 until the
next Debian stable upgrade?...

binary numbers
Hi,
Is there a function in R that lets one represent an integer in binary
format for a given number of bits? So an example would be....
> binary.function(num=5, num.of.bits=8)
> "00000101"
Or, is this something I have to write myself?
Any help would be appreciated.

knnFinder package
...ound some serious bugs in the knnFinder package (which supports
data structures and algorithms for both exact and approximate nearest
neighbor searching in arbitrarily high dimensions) that may trigger
segmentation faults.
I have fixed them but I had troubles to contact its maintainer Samuel E.
Kemp (previously with the University of Glamorgan, UK). Do someone know
where I can reach him ?

Does Cent OS Come With Any Kind Of Customer Portal Application(s)
...before using Cent OS? The closest thing I can think of is a Register.com, GoDaddy.com, or Load.com type interface that customers can do it all from one HUD-type interface. I realize that some minor html and branding that would need to take place to give it that corporate look likely. Thanks.

Backing up "live" Xen systems?
I''ve been testing Xen for a few weeks now and am just about to
put it into production use. (I wrote some scripts to create
Debian images easily; the tools are included in Debian Sid as
