Hello,
Please forgive me if this is the wrong place for my question, but I just
started playing with this great tool and seem to have hit a brick wall.
I set rails up and then ran a "gem search -r generator" to check for
new
stuff to test with and all I get is this error:
[root@www rubygems]# gem search -r generator
*** REMOTE GEMS ***
Updating Gem source index for: http://gems.rubyforge.org
ERROR: Error fetching remote gem cache: getaddrinfo: System error
[root@www rubygems]#
Gem will not connect to the server for some reason I have tested the
gems.rubyforge.com url with lynx and I managed to load a list of the
gems, so it seems that my box can see the site. Sadly, gem does not see
the same thing as lynx :(
Any ideas where I go from where?
