FreeBSD is very stable and can be very fast if you use fast (i.e. SAS / SSD / Fibre Channel / 10GBe / etc) hardware. FreeNAS itself is also very stable and one of our FreeNAS servers has been running for over 2 years without a reboot even -- Kind Regards Rudi Ahlers SoftDux Website: http://www.SoftDux.com Technical Blog: http://Blog.SoftDux.com Office: 087 805 9573 Cell: 082 554 7532 _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
I used Openfiler for several years as iSCSI target for XEN. It is very stable. Our server had an uptime of more then 2 years without a reboot. But it does not support FC. The latest version is only available for 64bit CPUs.We use now Open-e. We also tried FreeNAS. Very stable and easy to configure. Viele Grüße.
