Tripplite SNMPwebcard communication lost and established randomly
Thanks. As mentioned, deadtime can't be set for snmp-ups. You see this in the logs. Mar 31 09:08:30 freenas notifier: Fatal error: 'DEADTIME' is not a valid variable name for this driver. Mar 31 09:08:30 freenas notifier: Look in the man page or call this driver with -h for a list of valid variable names and flags. While looking at /var/log/messages I also see this when starting NUT; Mar 31 09...

Wait for network delay
...interface before it gets an IP address, then I'm not really sure what we should do, since network comms (at least loopback) is a prerequisite for NUT. I think that should be handled by the init system, with a dependency on the network interfaces being fully started. (I haven't looked at the FreeNAS init system much.) If the comms errors are from the SNMP driver, then we should be able to tweak the retry settings in the driver itself, or get the driver to fail and rely on the maxretry/retrydelay that I mentioned earlier. Then, the question becomes "where is the driver getting stuck?&quot...

I?d hope that it would set deadtime to an appropriate value as well than, no? Is there a way to query what the settings are or what the defaults are? There is a TODO comment in snmp-ups that mentions doing something similar to usbhid-ups: just poll the

Wait for network delay
I am running NUT as part of FreeNAS 9.2.0. I have looked through the manuals, but I don't see how to address my issue. The box has 4 NIC's in a LACP LAGG group. It takes a while for LACP to finish, and NUT tries to start before packets are flowing. NUT will complain endlessly about communication errors and never establish...

Power Down ESXi before SAN
I have 2 APC UPS systems, one is connected to my ESXi host and the other to my FreeNAS. The battery for the FreeNAS will run out before the battery for the ESXi, so I need ESXi to shutdown first. If I wait until BatteryLow on ESXI, it will be too late as FreeNAS will have already shutdown. How can I change the configuration on ESXI to shutdown after a small delay so that it is...

Trouble getting Roline/Powercom UPS recognized
Hi all, I’m new to NUT and have some trouble getting my new UPS to work. Since the HCL listed Powercom UHID models as „green“ I thought buying a Roline (German rebranded Powercom) model would be a good idea. The OS is FreeBSD: FreeBSD freenas-pmh.local 11.2-STABLE FreeBSD 11.2-STABLE #0 r325575+6aad246318c(HEAD): Mon Jun 24 17:25:47 UTC 2019 root at nemesis:/freenas-releng/freenas/_BE/objs/freenas-releng/freenas/_BE/os/sys/FreeNAS.amd64 amd64 This is the device: ugen0.6: <POWERCOM Co.,LTD HID UPS Battery> at usbus0 uhid0 on...

Cyberpower PR2200ELCDRT2U
Hey guys, :) recently, I installed Cyberpower PR2200ELCDRT2U, however, I have not managed to get this UPS working with FreeNAS 11, yet. According to compatibility list, PR2200 should work fine, when using powerpanel driver: http://networkupstools.org/ddl/Cyber_Power_Systems/ http://networkupstools.org/ddl/Cyber_Power_Systems/PR2200.html However, when trying to establish a connection between battery and FreeNAS Server, ei...

Tripplite SNMPwebcard communication lost and established randomly
Just started using NUT and having a problem. I'm not sure if it is even NUT that is causing the issue. I'm running the latest FreeNAS 9.3 release. Network UPS Tools upsmon 2.7.2. The UPS is a Tripplite SU6000RT4UHVPM with the SNMPwebcard installed. I'm trying to use the SNMPwebcard, not USB or Serial. I've updated the SNMPwebcard to the latest firmware version (see below). In FreeNAS I was able to create a connection to...

FreeNAS
As you all know, I''m a confirmed Linux supporter. But I must mention a project that I''ve recently become acquainted with: FreeNAS (http://freenas.org). This is a really cool product: - It is FreeBSD based. The current stable version is built on FreeBSD 7.3. - FreeNAS allows you to quickly build an NAS solution that supports SMB/CIFS, AFP (Seamlessly supports Timemachine on OS X 10.6), NFS, FTP, iSCSI, and more. - FreeNAS ha...

...re of speech, and figured SNMP would get there eventually since it's UDP. But if you have to stop and restart NUT, that is a different story Sorry about the time warp on this. I had some issues in my office and wasn't running the box for a while. Here is the actual error: Feb 16 10:15:40 freenas upsmon[2939]: UPS [CR-UPS]: connect failed: Connection failure: Connection refused Feb 16 10:16:15 freenas last message repeated 7 times Feb 16 10:18:17 freenas last message repeated 24 times Feb 16 10:19:38 freenas last message repeated 16 times And the subsequent messages are what I mean about...

Need a little help with Samba 3.5.5 on FreeNAS 7.2.5543
Good afternoon all. I have an odd problem that has me stumped and I'm hoping someone here may be able to help. Recently I switched from a Gentoo Linux based OS to FreeNAS. The version of Samba running on FreeNAS is 3.5.5 (and was the same under Linux). I mainly use my FreeNAS/Samba box to share MP3 files to an Audiotron. One of the files is the Turtle Beach radio file, radio_tr.txt. When I was using Linux the Audiotron had no trouble reading and providing it the lis...
