dovecot - Feb 2007 - Migration from courierpop3d (younger versions)

Dear list,

I am looking for a way to set up dovecot as a successor for courier 
pop3d, however I am looking for a way to preserve the UIDLs. Any 
progress on this? I can help out writing a converter if I know where the 
appropriate specs are.
