samba - Feb 2017 - One Way Domain Trust possible?

hi,

the release notes of samba4.3 read:
"The support for trusted domains/forests has improved a lot."
and
" Both sides of the trust need to fully trust each other!"

is this still true for samba 4.5 or is it possible to create a one way
trust from DC domain A (samba) to DC domain B (windows)? i've looked at
the samba 4.5 release notes, but didn't find anything about trust
relationships in there...
(background: i want to run a DC 'A' with samba but use the accounts from
another DC 'B', which is not under my management. There is no trust from
DC 'B' to DC 'A')

Hi,

To my knowledge (which is not the Truth) the only changelog speaking about
trust relationships was the one related to 4.3.0 which clearly says only
bidirectional and transitive trusts are available for now.

As said this is only what I'm aware of, not the truth. You should have a
look into more recent changelog (for all versions I'd say to not miss
something) to verify if there is newer comment about them.
