Hi All, I am trying to model a set of data that's a little bit complicated. Let's say a person can live 365 more days from time t=0. I have data on 100 people, but I only know who died between day 0 and day 30. Everyone else would've died between days 31 and day 365. Is there any way to fit a distribution to this set of data? I would try 'fitdist', but that would just get me parameters that would give me a mean somewhere between 0 and 30, which is not accurate. Is there any way? Would it help if I had the model parameters for a complete set of data from a few years ago? Any help would be great! Thanks, Tim [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
