Xen users - Feb 2012 - Dynamically adding / removing IPs for a domU

Hi,

we are providing services from within domUs and sometimes there''s the
need to add or remove an IPv4 address to a domU.
Network is provided via vif-routed. ATM we edit the domU.cfg and do a xm
shutdown and xm create so the domU can see the IP address. But there has to be a
better way(TM).

dom0 OS is debian squeeze, xen is provided via the official debian packages.

I''d be glad for any pointer.
