R help - Nov 2012 - exporting 3D dynamic graph

Hi the list,

Using misc3d, we can export 3d dynamic graph in pdf format.

Is it also possible to export these graph into a format that we can publish on
the web?

You don't provide enough information to know exactly what your needs 
are,  but writeWebGL() in the rgl function may be of some use in doing 
what you want.  I don't think that it can handle the "dynamic"
part on
its own yet, but perhaps with some creative JavaScript additions you can 
get there.

You could write to WebGL.  Most browsers support this (but it might need 
to be turned on, and Internet Explorer doesn't support it at all).  See 
?writeWebGL.

If you're using the R-forge version of rgl, you can also write to .stl 
format, which is readable by many other programs (but much more limited 
than WebGL).  There are probably converters out there that can write 
some other format based on the .stl.  See ?writeSTL.
