I have done as much testing and fixing as I think I can for the next
release. Barring any drastic failures, I''ll be releasing tomorrow
(probably around midnight Tues/Wed GMT). Thus, please, as much as
possible, test this release, and especially test it using your actual
running configurations. See the PuppetSource[1] page for info on how
to do this.
Particular changes include a complete rewrite of the Export/Collect
support, large-scale changes to the transactional system, large
changes to the interfaces between types and providers and especially
in the packages, and consolidation of configuration files to just
''puppet.conf''.
I''ll be on IRC all day tomorrow, but if you have problems, please
either reply to this email with them or open a ticket (preferably
just reply to me, since I expect by now most of the problems are
relatively small). Importantly, however you provide the info, give
me as much data as you can: Platform, the resources that are
failing, whether all hosts are failing or just some, etc.
