Period. Take a close look at your samba server logs. My bet is that the domain join failed or stopped working. Even if you were using "security = server" (which isn't supported for ClearCase, but some people have a managed to get it working for a while) you shouldn't see this behavior since it is the Domain/server password that should be used. Small question: Why aren't you using "password server = *"?
