You need to stop the UPS from beeping. Only then can you get a clear restart when power returns. To stop the UPS from beeping, you must turn it off. > ups.delay.shutdown: 20 >

cyberpower ups need to manully turn on the switch
Hi I have CP825AVR-G UPS. sometimes the UPS is shutdown due to whatever reason. But the annoying thing is even if the electrical power is back, that UPS will continue to beep, and I have to manually turn on the switch button in order for it to supply the load/power. I am wondering if there is any setting in the UPS I need to config? I just want the UPS to supply the power when the main

Hi I am using centos 6.3, and nut-2.6.5-2.el6.x86_64. could you explain why not sending "a delayed command to the UPS to turn it off" may cause that issue? I saw: ups.delay.shutdown: 20 ups.delay.start: 30 is it something related? thanks min On Sat, May 7, 2016 at 3:44 PM, Roger Price <roger at rogerprice.org> wrote: > On Sat, 7 May 2016, Min Wang wrote: > > Hi

confint for glm (general linear model)
...dence interval for glm estimate manually?? for A, I use 0.01093048 + c(-1,1) * 0.006446256 * qt(0.985,df=77) which is a different interval i got from the confint(k.glm,level=0.97) above. To be short, what's the right command to find the confidence interval for glm estimats? How do I verify it manully? polynomial expansion in R
Hi: I have two vectors of data, x and y and I want to get the "polynomial" expansion of (x+y)^p with any integer power p in R. Suppose p=2, then I want a matrix of five vectors, namely, x y x^2 y^2 x*y. The coefficient of the polynomial is not needed. I can write it manully if p is small. But I want it in the case of p=10 or even bigger, is there any function in R can do that automatically for me with certain choice of p? Thx a lot! liu --------------------------------- [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

lattice graphics and source()
Hi, I am trying the lattice graphics in R. Let's say, such a little experiment in file myprog.r: f <- function(){ x <- 1:10 y <- x^2 xyplot(y ~ x) } f() Then I run the program: > source("myprog.r") but nothing happens. Manully run f() at the command line: > f() then the figure is shown. This seems to be a bug only associated with lattice graphics, the old style plots do not exibit these behavior. Dongfeng Li

Client machine cannot acquire the IP from dhcp server
...at the second time, the client machine cannot acquire the IP again. The only way is to remove the /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases file in server and restart the dhcpd service. Then the client machine can get the IP again. That means if I want to boot the client machine from network again, I should manully remove the leases file and restart the dhcp service. I have tried to run dhcp like this: dhcpd -d, it will print out some debug info, I found the first time the client machine sent a DHCPDISCOVER msg and server responsed the DHCPOFFER, then the client sent a DHCPREQUEST and the server reponsed...

Rejoining domain after cluster failover
Hello. We're having issues running Samba 2.2.8-a1, on Solaris 8 (SPARC) under Veritas VCS 3.5 clustering (HA active-passive). Every time we have a cluster failover (we're testing), we have to re-join the domain [ADS not NT] (e.g., 'smbpasswd -j XYZ -r XYZPDC -UAdminRightsUser%password'). Otherwise, we cannot connect to the shares, and 'wbinfo -t' returns 'Secret is
