Hello,
when i use /usr/local/samba/bin/smbpasswd -a root
I get the following error message.

failed to midify user dn= uid=root,o=<MYDOMAIN> with: Object class
violation
object class 'sambaAccount' requires attribute 'ntSID'
failed to modify/add user with uid = root (dn = uid=root,o=<mydomain>)
failed to add entry for user root
Failed to modify password entry for user root.

I user alpha23 and Suse 8.1
my smb.conf is the following
[global]
passdb backend = ldapsam:ldap://localhost
workgroup = DOM_NT
domain logon = yes
domain master = no
encrypt passwords = yes
ldap suffix = o=<MYDOMAIN>
ldap admin dn = cn=ldapadmin,o=<MYDOMAIN>
ldap filter = (&(uid=%u)(objectclass=sambaaccount))
ldap ssl = off
can please anybody help me
