Hi all, We've had a couple of incidents where Samba 2.2.5 on Solaris 8 has stopped accepting new connections...there are many smbd processes sitting there blocked doing a: fcntl(7, F_SETLKW64, 0xFFBED5E0) (sleeping...) We have around 400 users connecting on a daily basis. This message from Samba 2.2.3 days seems to suggest that there was a problem on Solaris with "fcntl locks with multiple processes contending for locks": http://lists.samba.org/pipermail/samba-technical/2002-April/036223.html Could somebody please confirm if this has been fixed in later 2.2.x releases or if there's a patch for Solaris? There was an e-mail earlier today about it.> NI Group reserves the right to monitor emails in accordance with the Telecommunications (Lawful Business Practice) (Interception of Communications) Regulations 2000.Fun!

There is a patch from Sun but I don't know if it's official yet. DaveCB may know more. Jeremy.
