[Samba] REPOST: Changing from Mixed mode to pure Active Directory
I need to move a Samba 2.2.1 server form a Windows 2000 Domain network that is currently running in Mixed mode with a domain name if "ABC" to a pure Windows 2000 Active Directory network with a domain of "ABC.net". Do I need to do anything other than change the domain controller name listed in the password server property in the smb.conf? Thanks! Devin M. [Samba] REPOST: Changing from Mixed mode to pure Active Directory
I believe the answer to this one is very simple, SAMBA will not work in a AD domain. You can't do it. M$ won't let you. Sorry. I reply to save those more qualified time, which can more usefully be spent developing SAMBA further.
