It's been a while, but as I remember "Teach Yourself Samba in 24 Hours" by Gerald Carter and Richard Sharpe has an entire chapter which walks you through this process. Didn't really cover profiles because this is a whole 'nother issue. The problem is related to the ACL's on registry keys in ntuser.dat. Check the list archives for samba-ntdom as we've talked about this a lot. Someone posted a small Win32 program for changing the ACL's. You might also look the source code to the newsid.exe tool on www.sysinternals.com Cheers, jerry ________________________________________________________________________ Gerald ( Jerry ) Carter Engineering Network Services Auburn University jerry@eng.auburn.edu http://www.eng.auburn.edu/users/cartegw "...a hundred billion castaways looking for a home." - Sting "Message in a Bottle" ( 1979 )
