I have latest Wine on Ubuntu 11.10, and i want get my 3 Steam games running. The problem is that, i try to start a game, it says "Prepairing to start (game name)" and then it closes, game wont start. I would like to get Garry's Mod, Portal and Portal 2 working. I have ATI HD 4250 and i have installed drivers from Additional Drivers in Ubuntu. What i should do?

Hey, now Portal starts fine and runs fine! IDK Why it wasnt starting before, but now it starts and runs. I have just 1 problem. How i can get sound working? Wine says selected driver is winealsa.drv. So how i can get sound working, for something reason when i run Portal from Steam, it makes all sound go away from my computer and i have to reboot to get sounds to the system back.
Yes, the games work for them and now for me but i just wont have any sound and i saw that when i die or change level/map on Portal, it becomes extreme slow and laggy and i have to restart the game and i didnt find nothing about it on AppDB

If that does not help please advise. James
