Ping interrupts and SSH laggy
...es. Server is connected on 100Mbit ethernet line. Network setting is currently bridged. At the moment 4 domUs with various linux PV distributions - Debian,Centos,Gentoo. None of running servers are under load. What am I seeing is interrupts in continuous ping and that ssh console connection is laggy. When rebooted to non-xen kernel - without any issues. Please can anybody point me where should I look for possible cause of above descripted problems? Another question is - when configuring xen kernel form dom0 - which kernel Hz setting shall I set? 250 or 1000? And according to this question -...

Laggy and faulty Samba server
...ys), and some times it's really annoying. What happens is that it doesn't seem to be online for a period of 5-10 seconds once every minute! If I'm copying huge files, it's working great, but when copying smaller files or doing directory listings, it screws up by being slow and very laggy. Now - I've had this problem on all my Samba servers in the past, and I guess there is something I do wrong. Is there anyone that can help me? Below you can see my config file. Thanks! photoshop cs2 runs, but seems laggy
I just got photoshop cs2 installed and running on my system using 'sh winetricks corefonts vcrun6' and while it runs and all, it seems very choppy. I've been reading about how wine 1.0 came out with the specific purpose of photoshop running on wine/linux, and that even google has been funding this endeavor, so I would think that by wine 1.1.23 it would be running quite well. When I turn my back to NPC's it's fine again.

Diablo 2 Glide Wrapper does not work with full screen mode
As the title mentions, full screen mode does not work with Diablo 2 while using Glide Wrapper, but it does "work" for Direct3D (it's incredibly choppy/laggy though). Another problem: In window mode, it runs very smoothly, but if I happen to click outside of the window, Wine freezes and I have to terminate the program. I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and using the latest wine version 1.1.5

ATI propietary drivers = wine 3d acceleration?
Hi, I've got 1 GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics card and using propietary drivers (everything seems to be ok), while trying to play a very low graphics game through wine it's laggy and everything sucks, so it looks like there is no graphic acceleration. Other 3d native games run very good. So my question is: Ati propietary drivers let me play wine games or is anything wrong with my configuration?

Need Help with the Sims 3 Launcher
Hello. I'm currently using donet20 to run the sims 3 launcher. It is very laggy and flashes alot. I don't know if Mono will help or not, as I've tried it, but it doesn't seem to run when I try to open it. Any help? Has anyone gotten this to work close to flawlessly?

KParts for KDE 3 , KDE 4
...ides a mechanism to download movies to temporary local files if the part doesn't explicitly support non-local URLs. That works for simple movies, but I presume it fails on others because they try to access external resources using relative paths? Mouse interaction works although it feels a bit laggy. YouTube doesn't work yet because the web site, for reasons I have not yet looked into, seems to think that the flash player is out of date or not available. Attached is what I have so far. Is there a preferred place to host this and other KDE-related bits for swfdec? Regards, Robert. -----...

Playing new Star Wars MMO on MacOS 10.6
Hi, Wine looks like a great way to be able to play games that were only released on Windows... Is anyone currently using it to play the new star wars MMO? If so, can you share with me how is it working for you? I have a older 24" iMac (which is intel based - 2007) and based on what I am reading on the game site as well as here I think Wine would work (provided that the game is supported).

Networking issues in host
I've been having intermittent network issues on my Host - they go away when I stop and disable libvirtd and then reboot. They do not go away if I just stop libvirtd and don't reboot. I'm at a loss as to where to start with my troubleshooting, and being a relative n00b to libvirt, I'd love any pointers. Regards, Richard

Trying to configure xorcom on Suse 11
I'm having trouble getting a xorcom set up. A large part of the problem is that the box is a _long_ way away and I can't get to/at it easily, so while I could probably fix this in a few hours if the machine were in front of me, I'm struggling over a slow unreliable laggy link. Ok, enough whining from me. I have a new Xorcom plugged into the usb of a Suse 11 machine I built Dahdi from trunk (last thursday) # svn checkout http://svn.digium.com/svn/dahdi/linux/trunk dahdi-linux # svn checkout http://svn.digium.com/svn/dahdi/tools/trunk dahdi-tools dahdihardware...

No element in the UI reacts though. 3) If I wait enough time, I am suddenly thrown out to the VT, the pc still seems quite laggy. Eventually, it recovers and I can write commands into the VT. 4) At the end of dmesg I can see by now this output: [ 268.469736] nouveau E[ DRM] GPU lockup - switching to software fbcon [ 283.487035] nouveau E[ X[2154]] failed to idle channel 0xcccc0001 [X[2154]] [ 298.487016] nouveau E[...
