wine users - Feb 2011 - COD4/Steam/Punkbuster

Hi folks,

Could anyone walk me through getting Punkbuster working for a game of COD4 on
Steam?

I've got other games working but not COD4, I believe it's a PB issue,
but on searching I've tried everything to no avail!

Punkbuster doesn't work in Wine and probably never will.

You are correct. Punkbuster will not work with Wine.

Oh damn, so no COD4 MP ever?!

Not unless one day they decide to use different DRM that is compatible with Wine
(or no DRM).

Oh what a shame, thanks anyway people. Also any idea why DODS does not load? I
right click 'Play game' through Steam in Wine and doesn't load at
all, no error..nothing?
