I'm using wine-1.1.3 and alsa-lib-1.0.17.r1 on Gentoo. Music from most games plays like a stuck record and eventually all sound dissapears. Pulseaudio nowhere to be seen. When I say most games, this hasn't happened with older games like Diablo II and Caesar III. Having said that, Diablo II did loose all sound and one point... It is a more common problem with more modern games though! Console throws Code: fixme:mpeg3:mp3_horse Error occurred during decoding! err:mpeg3:decodeMP3 Output buffer too small I imagine older games don't suffer so much because the audio files will probably be smaller.
