Dissapearence of samba servers.
We have a LAN network consisting mostly of Win95 machines, with a couple
of NT boxes and 3 Linux-based Samba servers. Throw in a VAX running
Pathworks and a partridge in a pear tree.
Anyway, it seems that since Monday all three of the Samba boxes have
dissapeared from the browse lists (from the POV of the Windows users).
Typing in \\server only gives a "Network name not found error."

Dissapearing samba servers
...it's happenning to me.
I run Solaris 2.5.1, and samba-1.9.17p1.
Every so often a pc can look in the network neighborhood and the samba
server just isn't there, though you can still map a network drive by
using a UNC pathway:
\\server\share
so the share is still out there but the server dissapears every so
often.
Any clues would be much appreciated.

after identify labels dissapear XP
Greetings:
Using 'identify' to label points on a plot works just fine. However, when
saving under 'metafile' or using the clipboard the labels dissapear. I
believe it's an SDI issue. I am running last R with last Tinn-r under XP up
to date. Anything I can do besides going back to MDI :-)?

Can anybody point me to a sample of popup/tooltip using Prototype?
I saw examples for windows and also for tool tip but what I want is a little bit different.
I want the same fuctionality which exists at yahoo mail login.
https://login.yahoo.com/ -> on the right corner you have a Prevent Password Theft image. On mouse over you see a tooltip.
Now the good think in this solution is that

pool dissapearing
Hi, I have a ZFS pool backed by iscsi volumes and the filesystem is
dissapearing a lot lately, all that rectifies it is rebooting the
machine.
running zfs list I don''t get a list of the filesystems on the pool
running zpool status I do get a list of the pool and the disks behind it.
I''m running OpenIndiana 148a, anybody seen this behaviour?

Thanks for your reply.
I've migrated the domain copying all files in /var/lib/samba and /etc/samba
from original domain to new domain, I've edit the smb file to change the
"passdb backend" line to match the old server (because original is
localhost and give me an error connecting), and then I run this command:
samba-tool domain classicupgrade --dbdir=/home/user/samba

Dissapearence of the program
Hi everybody,
I 'll try to describe the problem I have as clear as I can, because it's quite complicated.
I have a dictionary installed through wine in openSuse 11.1. When I open it nothing appears on my screen, although it runs as a process, i.e. it has a pid. In order to make it appear on my screen I do the following:
1. I maximize the dissappeared dictionary through right click on

Thanks to both for answers.
I'm using the latest version of wheezy-backports (Version 4.1.17-Debian)
and in this server i don't need to map the AD users to linux tools (i'm
doing tests before change anything in production servers), but i'm planing
to use a File Server and a Print Server in separated machines and I need to
have access to AD users. If I disable winbind entries on

Xen 3.1.0 and openSuse 10.3 - xenbr0 won''t dissapear
Hello,
I use xen for a few months now and I upgraded to opensuse 10.3 with xen
3.1 (64bit versions) recently.
Everything works fine, but there is a problem when I change
xend-config.sxp to use my own network script (it''s slightly modified
version of network-virtual scripts from
http://en.opensuse.org/Xen3_yet_another_Virtual_Network_Concept )
instead of default network-bridge script.

Changing class data in environmrnt.rb
Greetings,
I have a class that should allow you define some default values. It
seems to make the most sense to do this environment.rb since its the
default app configuration. It currently looks like this:
Settings::DEFAULT_VALUES.merge!({
:setting_one => ''foo'',
:settings_two => ''bar''
})
The problem is in development mode, the values are only

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc: missing dbg.declare/dbg.stoppoint at optimization level > O0
Hello,
I use llvm and llvm-gcc as a C-to-C transformation tool using a
modified version of the c backend, and rely on llvm debug instructions
to link back to the original source code.
Does anyone know how to get detailed line number and variable debug
information at optimization levels beyond O0?
Currently, I extract this debug information by compiling with -g.
This works fine with

[LLVMdev] porting to 3.1: ConstantDataArray
Hi,
In llvm 3.0 llvm::ConstantArray had a ::getAsCString() method that
returned the buffer as a std::string. Now it seems that 3.1 this
method dissapeared.
I found that llvm::ConstantDataArray has a method called
getAsString(), but it returns a Constant*.
What is the safe way to retrieve the pointer of the Constant array as
a C string?
