wine users - Aug 2008 - Graphic Problems

Hello all.
I've been having a problem with games (that I've noticed so far) that
when I try to run the game, the screen flicks like it was changing to
fullscreen, when it returns I can barelly make out anything of the screen, since
everything is broken, I have to alt+tab to the Wine app and Alt+F4 to be able to
return to the desktop.

I've been testing several configurations with winecfg and checking the
manual and the faq trying to see something that looked like what I'm
experiencing without any luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

CPU Intel Dual Core E2180
ATI 3870
1Gb Ram

Have you checked the Application Database for your game?

Some more information would be useful for example your wine version, terminal
output etc.
