wine users - Jan 2008 - Guitar Pro font override

I guess when I installed Guitar pro 5, it replaced all fonts wine
would use, with the notes. This was winecfg. Solved the problem, but
still cannot use my prog. Other than the fonts, GP5 appears to run
great under wine. I'm impressed with how Wine has been coming along

Does installing a few windows fonts, a la

 wget kegel.com/wine/winetricks
 sh winetricks corefonts

help?
