dovecot - Oct 2004 - Folders with . in them

Hey guys,

When I create a IMAP folder called "php.net" in Thunderbird, a folder 
called "php" is created with a subfolder called "net", is
this a bug in
Thunderbird or is it something that I or you can fix?

This is because the hierarchy separator with maildir is a dot. Only way 
to fix it would be to modify sources and change it to something else. 
Perhaps in future there will be other options.
