Hi all, Is there any way to add notes or comments to R objects? It can be hard for me to come up with a descriptive name that encapsulates all the differences between data sets, so it would be very helpful if I could add a note which described the object. I didn't find anything like this in the R docs. Regards, Matt [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

I wouldn't have expected you to know the 'attributes' or 'attr' function names, but if you searched on just the words you were using you would have gotten useful results.> It can be hard for > me to come up with a descriptive name that encapsulates all the > differences > between data sets, so it would be very helpful if I could add a note > which > described the object.
