R help - Apr 2010 - RServe across network

Hi,
I am trying to connect to RServe across a network.

I had put RServe on my local machine and it worked just fine. When am try to
connect to it across a network - it is able to go through the handshake and
get in. However , when it gets to the 'request' method in the RTalk
class,
it hangs. Any idea what is happening?

Any inout much appreciated.

Is it [server/rserve] running on Windows or Linux?
