[zfs-discuss] ZFS priorization for filesystems / zvols ?
Hello list, when consolidating storage services, it may be required to prioritize I/O. e.g. the important SAP database get all the I/O we can deliver and that it needs. The test systems should use whats left. While this is a difficult topic in disk based systems (even little I/o with long head moves impacts I/O a lot) it seems to be solved on other systems (Netapp). NetApp provides flexshare. Is there anything like this on ZFS or on the roadmap (Mabe with a bug number) ? Regards, Robert -- This message posted from opensolaris.org

It is easy to setup network QoS and prioritization in Solaris. -- richard> > NetApp provides flexshare.
