zfs discuss - Jan 2010 - ZFS Defragmentation - will it happen?

Can anyone comment on the likelihood of zfs defrag becoming a reality some
day? If so, any approximation as to when? I realize this isn''t exactly
a
trivial endeavor, but it sure would be nice to see.

The way i understand it, this requires bprewrite and it''s being worked
on.
