zfs discuss - Jan 2010 - Add disk to raidz pool

Can you add a disk (volume) to an existing raidz pool??  Or do you still need to
create a new pool, copy data, destroy old pool in order to expand the pool size?

There is not really such a thing as a ''raidz pool''.  You are
not able
to add another disk to a raidz vdev, but you can add additional vdevs 
to your pool (typically requires more than one disk) in order to 
expand the pool size.
