I also have a zfs IDR in hand for Solaris 10 U8 which is supposed to fix the read-prefetch problem that I had reported, but I have not had opportunity to test with it yet due to other issues. Presumably these fixes with be in Solaris 10 U9. It would be useful if OpenSolaris users with latest updates could re-test with the test script I posted earlier to see if the prefetch performance issue is gone. This test script is still available from http://www.simplesystems.org/users/bfriesen/zfs-discuss/zfs-cache-test.ksh Bob -- Bob Friesenhahn bfriesen at simple.dallas.tx.us, http://www.simplesystems.org/users/bfriesen/ GraphicsMagick Maintainer, http://www.GraphicsMagick.org/
