"wait" causes all I/O to hang while the system attempts to retry the
device. "continue" will cause the system to continue on as if nothing
has
changed. "panic" will cause the system to panic and core dump. The
only
real advantage I see in wait is that it will alert the admin to a failure
rather quickly if you aren''t checking the health of the system on a
regular
basis.
