[zfs-discuss] possibilities of AFP ever making it into ZFS like NFS and CIFS did
As I sit here building netatalk (assuming it will actually build) it occurs to me that maybe AFP could be the next protocol to be merged directly into ZFS the way NFS and CIFS have been. Any thoughs/opinions on this? I think this would be a great way to get ZFS out there into OSX shops by way of Solaris and not some hacked on ZFS stuff for OSX. -brian -- "Coding in C is like sending a 3 year old to do groceries. [zfs-discuss] possibilities of AFP ever making it into ZFS like NFS an
I was able to get Netatalk built on OpenSolaris for my ZFS NAS at home. Everything is running great so far, and I''m planning on using it on the 96TB NAS I''m building for my office. It would be nice to have this supported out of the box, but there are probably licensing issues involved. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
