I''ve got a system with a 1-partition (74G) root pool and an 8-whole-disk (500Gx8) raidz2 pool called tank. I reinstalled the OS recently, after zfs export''ing tank, and did a zpool import -af. The following is what I ended up with. I''m totally at a loss to explain these "Xc..." pools; there isn''t enough storage in the machine to account for them! Can anyone clear this mystery up for me? Thanks! # zpool list NAME SIZE USED AVAIL CAP HEALTH ALTROOT Xc8t1d0p0 464G 89.5K 464G 0% ONLINE - Xc9t0d0p0 464G 89.5K 464G 0% ONLINE - Xc9t1d0p0 464G 74.5K 464G 0% ONLINE - rpool 74G 7.43G 66.6G 10% ONLINE - tank 3.62T 91.3G 3.54T 2% ONLINE - root at hoss:~# zpool status pool: Xc8t1d0p0 state: ONLINE scrub: none requested config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM Xc8t1d0p0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c8t1d0p0 ONLINE 0 0 0 errors: No known data errors pool: Xc9t0d0p0 state: ONLINE scrub: none requested config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM Xc9t0d0p0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c9t0d0p0 ONLINE 0 0 0 errors: No known data errors pool: Xc9t1d0p0 state: ONLINE scrub: none requested config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM Xc9t1d0p0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c9t1d0p0 ONLINE 0 0 0 errors: No known data errors pool: rpool state: ONLINE scrub: none requested config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM rpool ONLINE 0 0 0 c7d0s0 ONLINE 0 0 0 errors: No known data errors pool: tank state: ONLINE scrub: none requested config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM tank ONLINE 0 0 0 raidz2 ONLINE 0 0 0 c8t0d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c8t1d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c9t0d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c9t1d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c10t0d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c10t1d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c10t2d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c10t3d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 -- Dave Abrahams BoostPro Computing http://www.boostpro.com
