[zfs-discuss] ZFS encryption?? - [Fwd: [osol-announce] SXCE Build 105 available]
It was rumored that Nevada build 105 would have ZFS encrypted file systems integrated into the main source. In reviewing the Change logs (URL''s below) I did not see anything mentioned that this had come to pass. Its going to be another week before I have a chance to play with b105. Does anyone know specifically if b105 has ZFS encryption? Any schedule?.It is now and always has been on the project page at: http://opensolaris.org/os/project/zfs-crypto/ Yes we have slipped twice now but this is a very complex feature and we have to get it correct first time and make sure there are no bad interactions with existing ZFS functionality that has already integrated or is also indevelopment.> I am very interested in ZFS Crypto, although I have lost hope of seeing > in Solaris 10.That hope should never have been there, since I''ve always said we have no intention to backport that feature to Solaris 10. -- Darren J Moffat
