After further testing: 1) I''ve seen it in b90 and b91, haven''t tried anything earlier (though I don''t think I''d see the problem...see #5 below) 2) It doesn''t matter if it''s from DVD or Network 3) I''ve only tested interactive, not automated JumpStart. 4) It hangs at around 35% done (usually on ''OnLine Manual Pages'', sometimes libtiff, once at around 25%.) 5) THE KICKER: It only happens if I pick ZFS root. I succesfully installed b91 over NFS last night when I selected UFS root. Ian what build is your NFS server running? A while back I saw a different problem where the install would freeze, and the load on th server would spike quite high, while snoop showed very little traffic. I think that was an NFS bug that was fixed in builds in the high 70''s low 80''s. Anyone else got any ideas? Or any other info they want me to collect? -Kyle

I haven''t seen any issues installing b90 from DVD with ZFS root. Ian.
