Xen users - Dec 2012 - xvda / hda sda

hi,

since i ran into problems with suse (xvda/hda) i need to get deeper into that
matter. does anyone have an explanation or a usefull linkt, what describes the
diffrence between xvda and hda/sda?

maybe explains what is best practice regarding speed in conjunction with lvm
block devices.

basically
xvda: used when you are with paravirtualization
sda: when using virtualized HVM
