Hi I am trying to get a Xen machine fully configured using PXE, and I am able to see Xen pull the script I specify from my webserver, however I tried making it a simple bash script and it didn''t seem to execute. Can anyone shed some light on an example post-install-script? And particulars about when it is run, ie is it run after the reboot, is it run as root, how can I get debug output from the script, that sort of thing would be very helpful. Thanks! Re: [Xen-users] PXE boot post-install-script example?
Hi Jean, Specifically XenServer 5.6 via PXE boot. Ive now been able to get my script to run, but I wanted to do something like use ''xe'' to add the server to a pool, and its not clear to me that this can be done since the filesystem seems to be mounted in strange locations, and the script is actually executed before the installation reboots, so I''m not sure what is available and what the best technique to accomplish this is. Any suggestions?
