Hi Everyone, I followed this guide: http://bderzhavets.wordpress.com/2010/04/24/set-up-ubuntu-10-04-server-pv-domu-at-xen-4-0-dom0-pvops-2-6-32-10-kernel-dom0-on-top-of-ubuntu-10-04-server/ After booting my Dom0, I can’t run xm list. It says that it can’t connect to xend. Xend is running according to ps (However I had to add xenfs /proc/xen to fstab first). Any ideas? Thanks Incidentally, the kernel I used was 2.6.32.14 _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

This is just a guess I recently had this problem.Since you mentioned that it is running twice it check the init script of xend as where it saves the pid and creates a lock to run xen and try deleting that manually. -- Tapas _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

I started from scratch, and after messing around with some symlinks, I''ve finally got Xend to listen..sort of I can do a "xm list" and it will bring up the list correctly (Just the Dom0 is displayed). However Xend is still not listening on port 8000 for virt-manager to work. A netstat shows that python is listening on port 8002 (which I guess is for relocation..) Any ideas? Are you able to install from an ISO locally present on your hard disk or shared some where on NFS or http may be for http you need a netbsd.iso (10 mb) to start install and bring you to a state where you can actually install from network or internet. Re: [Xen-users] Can''t connect to Xend - Getting better
to the Ubuntu server login as root ssh root@xenserver -X make sure SSH X11 Forwarding is enabled on it and try virt-manager and right click on the GUI where it shows server in white box and click connect locally are the results same in this case also. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
