[Xen-users] Xen 4.0.0 on CentOS 5.4 / Gitco Rpm''s / crash just before udev
Hi there ! I''ve just tried the new RPM''s of the Gitco Repository, Xen 4.0.0 (testing) I''ve installed them on a CentOS 5.4 X86_64. No i can''t boot on Xen Kernel, non-xen Kernel works fine, but if i boot on the 2.6.18-164.15.xen, system boot to "Red hat Nash blabla" and udev never start (also, it logs nothing) it reboot after ~10 min I''ve tried with pci=noacpi and selinux=0, still the same Any ideas ? My first test is even worse than yours, the boot process stuck and doesn''t continue when using Xen 4.0.0 + RHEL/Centos''s kernel-xen. I finally compile my own kernel using gentoo-xen-kernel, which boots correctly, but I still have some issues with blktap/blktap2. So at this point I keep my production servers on Xen 3.4.2 or RHEL''s version of Xen. -- Fajar _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

All, Keep the list posted about anyone with successful installs of the Gitco RPM''s on CentOS, etc. It would be nice to know when this is stable. Thanks, Steven G. Hi, has anyone checked this ? http://d.hatena.ne.jp/dharry/20100508/1273255449 I had no problems to install a HVM with Windows2008_R2 and a PVM with CentOS5.4 (x86_64). But my tests were only with LVM based VMs! I have to check more scenarios .... Hi, Not from RPM, but from custom compile.
