Hello,
The "Xen Cloud Platform Installation Guide" tells me to "Download
the Linux Pack ISO" so I can install linux VMs, but where is it? I cannot
find in the xen.org website.I tried XenServer-5.5.0-Update2-linux-cd.iso, it
doesnot work.
Any idea?Thanks.
Dennis

There is no Linux pack for XCP, that's incorrect information in the guide. XCP has everything you need to set up Linux VMs right out of the box. Thanks, Vern,
In fact, this is what am I going to do:I have a physical server machine(8 CPUs,
4G RAM), and I have installed XCP 0.1.1 just now, just one CD, without any
other(I donnot have any other, during the installation, it asks me weather I
want to install some other things). And now I am trying to install guest VMs. I
am using OpenXenCenter, which toke me quite a while to install, to install
Debian Lenny 5.0. I tried to install Lenny by clicking "New VM" button
in OpenXenCenter, and did everything step by step. Finally, when I tried to
start it, it tells me "Async.VM.start allison
[''BOOTLOADER_FAILED'', ......., ''Error from
bootloader: too many bootable disks(2 disks)'']"Can I really
install Lenny without any other CDs? Why I failed?
Many thanks.
Dennis

I can't speak to the specifics of openxencenter (I develop a different front end for XCP) but it does appear that something misfired. You generally do need installation media for whatever Linux distro you're installing, CD, ISO, online install repository, but you don't need any supplemental XCP "packs".
