During the install process, as soon as I press enter to accept the eula I am getting the following error message with 0.1.1 (#25823p): An unrecoverable error has occurred. The error was: Could not decode partition line: ''/dev/sda5 : start 16777279, size=125301581'' The machine in question is a Dell 1950 with dual core dual procs and 8gb RAM and 2 Broadcom NICs and two 67gb drives in a RAID1 array. I''ve also checked the md5 of the iso and burned two different CDs, and successfully installed FreeBSD 8.0 on this box. Any hints for me? Boot it with knoppix or similar and get shut of the BSD disk labelling/partition information and try again. Good luck, Matt. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Interesting that XCP doesn''t remove partitions during install. Depending on the method you used, the BSD disk layout would screw up not just the XCP installer, but many linuxen too (remember, XCP is just a nifty appliance built on CentOS). My experience is to expect unpredictable results when re-purposing a disk from one OS to the other -especially the ''interesting'' ones like FreeBSD and Solaris :-) I''m glad it worked out in the end. Good luck, Matt. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

I used DBAN to nuke the partition, then started over. Kurt _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
