Here''s some instructions for Debian, some of it should be applicable to RHEL/Centos as well http://old.nabble.com/how-to-get-xen-with-a-kernel-2.6.27-or-above--tt26649411.html#a26649542 However IMHO the easiest way to use latest stable version of Xen on Centos if you use x86_64 is to add gitco''s repository (see http://www.gitco.de/repo/) to yum configuration, then simply do a "yum groupinstall Virtualization". -- Fajar _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

If you are just starting, building from source may not be the best way to go. I also just started using Xen and spent a fair bit of time experimenting. Creating host/guest domains with Debian and xen-tools seems to be relatively simple and I have documented my findings here: http://allaboutlamp.com/2009/12/how-to-setup-virtual-machines-using-xen/ Enjoy! cheers, Daniel ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: ma qiang <maqiang1984@gmail.com> To: xen-users@lists.xensource.com Date: Wed, 30 Dec 2009 15:24:34 +0800 Subject: [Xen-users] installation from source Hi all, I am a newcomer. Thanks letting everyone know.. I actually searched around and found that a lot of people encountered problems during/after installation of Ubuntu 9.10. Looks like it wasn''t very well tested before getting released.. a bit disappointing. Hopefully debian won''t let me down!
