Hey all, just installed windows 2008 x64 datacenter edition as we all as gplpv_fre_wlh_x86_0.10.0.130.msi<http://www.meadowcourt.org/downloads/gplpv_fre_wlh_x86_0.10.0.130.msi> I''m not sure it took though. I say that because after I installed these drivers and rebooted... no new hardware was detected. I now have an unknown device in device manager with a title of "PCI Device". In the past when I installed these drivers I no longer saw the ''real hardware'' listed in device manager, but in there place I saw "xen" followed by a device type. Also the overall performance of this is slow at best. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
also... I just noticed that the reason why this did not take is because the installer ends and does not change the system. anyone else experience this? ________________________________ From: xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com [xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com] On Behalf Of Robbie A. using the safe boot option of disable driver signature enforcement check now causes a stop error and reboots the server. any idea what to try next? or put in the cd and reformat? ________________________________________ From: xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com [xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com] On Behalf Of Robbie A. James, Microsoft has always called this amd64 where the *nix communitp more aptly calls it x86_64. I don''t know why Microsoft chose amd64 (as if Intel wouldn''t use the same technology), but seeing as how 64 bit Windows versions are called amd64 versions (at least Windows XP was), you might cause as much or more confusion to non-*nix users by calling it x86_64 instead.
