Xen users - Oct 2009 - Cannot Set QIE Field for Queue Invalidation

As a follow-up to my attempts to pass PCI through to HVM domUs, I''m
attempting to use VT-d (aka IOMMU) with Xen 3.3.1, and am receiving the
following error during Xen hypervisor loading (at boot time) if I try to set
iommu=1:

Cannot set QIE field for Queue Invalidation

The system then reboots.  I tried using iommu=no-qinval, but this
didn''t seem to help.  Can anyone provide any hints as to
what''s going on?
