Hi Guys... I''ve just begun to understand & appreciate how great Linux is... I''d been a Windows user all my life... The thing is.... since I''m a novice... I can''t quite manage to understand how I would have to go about installing XEN on Jaunty... I looked and looked online... I found SOME stuff... nothing concrete... I ended up installing: 1) the ubuntu-xen-server using Synaptic 2) I downloaded & installed: linux-image-2.6.26-2-xen-686_2.6.26-15lenny2_i386.deb I followed guidelines from a (on hindsight) questionable blog-post. What do I do now.... Could one of you please guide me as to how I might go about installing Xen on Jaunty? A step-by-step guideline would be welcome (I repeat- I''m a complete novice!) I''d really love to be able to experiment with the likes of Fedora on XEN (I don''t want to leave Ubuntu... I LOVE it!!!) I know that Fedora & CentOS have inbuilt support for Xen... but I''m kind of settled on Ubuntu... Please do help... Thanks a lot guys! Need a taxi? Check out taxi service listings on Yahoo! The best resource for Xen on Ubuntu Jaunty might be Boris'' site : bderzhavets.wordpress.com/2009/08/14/attempt-of-prevu-xen-3-4-1-hypervisor-on-ubuntu-jaunty-server-64-bit Perhaps it''s the blog you tried to follow? I highly suggest you use RHEL/Centos5 for dom0 OS if you want to experiment with Xen. Straight forward port is also available, it doesn''t require phython-all-dev package installed, just python2.6-dev, and all prevu stuff as well bderzhavets.wordpress.com/2009/06/25/setup-xen-3-4-1-dom0-on-top-of-ubuntu-9-04-server-via-marc-a-dahlhauss-udev-patch B. --- On Tue, 9/8/09, Fajar A.
