Well, I know I''ve asked questions about the cpuid setting before, but I''ll ask, again. I''m trying to get a multi-core CPU enabled on Xen. The xmexample.hvm file has a couple of examples, but there isn''t a lot of explanation available for why it behaves as it does. So, I''ve inserted the following lines into my Xen configuration file: cpuid=[''1:edx=xxx1xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,ebx=xxxxxxxx00010000xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'',''4,0:eax=001111xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx''] vcpus=4 What I want is a single, quad-core CPU visible to my Windows XP machine. My question is, is the above line correct? It *appears* to work correctly - Task Manager shows 4 CPUs, as does Device Manager - but I want to make sure it actually is correct and that I''m not going to cause any instability by having my HVM configured this way.
