Xen users - Jun 2009 - unexpectedly crash...

Hi

My xen 3.3.1 dom0 crashes unexpectedly  every week!, I''ve a dell
powered
2900 III  with a PERC 5/9i RAID controller. It works for a few days , then
it goes into black and the raid controller leds are fixed at green (no
blinking at all).

I''ve 48 GB of memory so I don''t think that the problem is a
memory problem.
I''ve set  dom0-min-mem  to 2024. And the errors continue...One day I
forgot
put the firewall on and the auth.log shows ssh authentications failures
(dictionary attacks without success), however the last command doesn''t
show
any login succesfully. May somebody be doing something that freeze the dom0
(I dont see nothing in the log)?

You need to set up a serial console.   If you have a DRAC, you can set up
the serial console as usual[1] except that in my example below, I''m
using
com1;  if you use DRAC, you want to use com2.    Once you get the console
setup in linux, you can ssh into your DRAC and type comconnect com2.

leave that connection open in a logging console;  hopefully when the box
crashes it will print something useful on the serial console.
