Xen users - Jun 2009 - New Document : Configuration File Options

Xen Users:

I am working on a new Xen Configuration document that gives people a complete
list of all the options. Attached is the current version of the document; please
send me directly any items that I missed or items that I left blank. Thanks.

PS - I am trying to send the odf file via this email so if it doesn''t
show up; I will resend with all the content in the email. Thanks.

Hi Stephen,

 

Some extra ones I use are below but there are a lot more than in that
document:

 

cpus = ["2", "3"]

kernel = ''/usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader''

hpet = 1

hap = 1

vncdisplay = 2

vncpasswd = ''xxxxxx''

 

There is a setting to specify the emulated card within the VIF on HVMs
and a timer mode setting too.

   *videoram: *VGA linear framebuffer size in megabytes

This works in conjunction with stdvga=1 to provide modern high resolution &
widescreen modes in the guest. The default os 4 Megs, minimum is 1, max is
16.


It was introduced in Xen 3.4, but I believe 3.4 was released with a bug that
broke this functionality. Stefano posted a patch, so I assume it will be
working properly in 3.4.1.
