[Xen-users] Raw device mapping/pass through disks to XEN VM''s
Hi Gurus, Is it not possible to configure RDM''s or passthrough disks for Xen VM''s?.When i define a disk with the "phy" attribute in the configuration file, does that make it an RDM?. thanks! For most purposes (e.g. booting from a physical drive, etc.) it does what you want in the simplest possible way. For other purposes (like CD/DVD writer) you''ll need PVSCSI, available since Xen 3.3. What do you have in mind? Regards, Fajar _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

So it should work with simple phy:/ disk mapping. Last time I met a NetApp rep, they told me they had specialized solution for VMWare, Hyper-V, and Citrix Xen. I suggest you ask them about it.
