I believe so. You''re using 32bit w2k8, right?
The not-working qemu ide and NIC controller is pretty much what you
should get when using GPLPV. The xen block device and xen net is
activated instead.

Yes. I used to hide the qemu emulated pci devices (pci ide and realtek
network) but it didn''t work properly, causing delays in various places.

In a future version of xen the devices can be hidden fully.
